The city's signature green
Forsyth Park, Savannah
Forsyth Park is Savannah's great public green, 30 acres of lawns, live oaks, and the iconic 1858 cast-iron fountain at the south end of the Historic District.

What Forsyth Park is
Forsyth Park sits at the south end of the Historic District, at Gaston and Drayton Streets, and it is the city's signature green. The 1858 cast-iron fountain anchors the north end, live oaks line the paths, and the Fragrant Garden, the Confederate Memorial, and the broad lawns fill the rest. It is the place Savannah walks, runs, and gathers.
