Gwinnett's newest city, built around technology.

Peachtree Corners was unincorporated Gwinnett farmland known as Pinckneyville until 1967, when Paul Duke launched Technology Park Atlanta as a low-density tech campus, and the area grew up around it. Voters incorporated the City of Peachtree Corners in 2012, Gwinnett's newest and largest city, and the town center built after that now anchors the city around the Town Green and the Forum.

The story of Peachtree Corners

History of Peachtree Corners

Peachtree Corners incorporated in July 2012, one of Georgia's newest cities, but its economic story is older. In 1967 Georgia Tech graduate Paul Duke began planning Technology Park Atlanta, a business campus meant to attract high-tech firms to open land at the crossing of Peachtree Corners.

The park delivered on the promise: early tenants included Scientific Atlanta and Hayes Microcomputer Products, where the first commercially successful PC modem was developed in the late 1970s.

The city was created from the unincorporated area around that campus in 2012. Peachtree Corners today is Gwinnett's technology address, a municipality built around offices, parks, and the Innovation Center at the old Tech Park.
