JOIE 2026 tour · Stop 3 of 5 · Atlanta, Georgia
The Winter Wonderland Light Forest
Outside, Callanwolde's grounds become the Winter Wonderland Light Forest, the third and final part of the JOIE experience. It features illuminated installations, fire performances, video mapping, a Snow Play Park, ornament-making workshops, holiday photo opportunities, character meet-and-greets and a caroling bonfire.
Outside the mansion
Callanwolde's grounds, transformed for winter
After the show and the mansion exploration, the evening moves outdoors. The grounds become the Winter Wonderland Light Forest, a decorated winter landscape built for wandering, playing, making, and meeting.
Illuminated installations
Lighted installations fill the grounds, setting the tone for the evening walk.
Fire performances
Live fire performances add warmth and spectacle to the winter night.
Video mapping
Projection mapping turns the architecture and grounds into moving scenes of light.
Snow Play Park
A Snow Play Park brings a winter playground to the grounds.
Ornament-making workshops
Hands-on workshops for making holiday ornaments to take home.
Holiday photo opportunities
Set pieces and backdrops built for seasonal family photos.
Character meet-and-greets
Meet the original JOIE characters out among the lights.
Caroling bonfire
Gather around the bonfire for caroling to close the evening.
The grounds
An evening outdoors at Callanwolde
The Light Forest is an outdoor walk as much as a light show. Illuminated installations and video mapping carry the evening, while the Snow Play Park, ornament-making workshops, and character meet-and-greets keep it hands-on. A December evening in Atlanta is brisk, so layers and comfortable shoes make the walk through the grounds far more enjoyable.
The caroling bonfire is the natural place to end: warm, communal, and unhurried, it closes the loop that began with the Mainstage Show in the courtyard.
