Downtown Clarkesville's best restaurants are all within a five-minute walk of the courthouse square and all open in October 2026. This guide ranks the downtown tables by three criteria: verified hours, a kitchen with an actual point of view, and a room locals actually use. Chains are excluded; downtown deserves better.

The Washington Street row

The row runs from the square north. The Attic (1344 Washington) is the big American room: steaks, seafood, burgers, and weekend breakfast. Kaboblicious (1362) is the scratch Turkish kitchen with the county's best kabobs. Fresco's (1429) holds the American and Italian middle, and The Hush Cuban Kitchen (1456) does Cuban plates and Sunday brunch at the north end.

The Grant Street turn

Turn down Grant Street and The Copper Pot (135 Grant) is the brick-oven kitchen: wood-fired pizza, homemade entrees, craft cocktails, and a Thursday-to-Sunday schedule. It is the strongest dinner argument on the block.

Just off the square

Old Towne Pub on West Water Street is the pub room, and Midtown Grill on Franklin Street and Wolf Creek BBQ at Clarkesville Station fill lunch and the barbecue slot. The full downtown shopping and dining route is on the Clarkesville guide .
