Town Center Park is Suwanee's front yard: a ten-acre civic park at the corner of Buford Highway and Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road that anchors the city's whole calendar. Everything that makes Suwanee recognizable, the amphitheater, the splash fountain, the market, the concerts, happens on this one piece of green.
The amphitheater
The terraced amphitheater seats roughly a thousand people on stone risers facing the stage, and it hosts the concert series, the movie nights, and the farmers market's market-day setup through the warm months. Lawn seating spreads up the slope behind it for the big nights.
The Big Splash fountain
The Big Splash interactive fountain is one of the larger fountains in Gwinnett, sending up to a thousand-plus gallons a minute through its jets in the warm months. It is the city's summer centerpiece for the under-ten set, so bring a change of clothes and let the water do the scheduling.
The paths and the greenway
- A mile of strolling paths with three interlinking elliptical walking loops around the green.
- More than two hundred trees and four garden areas with benches for the slow circuit.
- A wooden boardwalk connecting the park to the Suwanee Creek Greenway for the longer walk.
When to go
