Suwanee is the rare Gwinnett city built around a town center, and the Town Center lawn is where the day starts: the amphitheater, the Big Splash fountain, the farmers market, and the restaurants are all within a short walk of each other. The city has spent two decades making that walk the best one in the county.
The Town Center
Town Center Park holds the terraced amphitheater with roughly a thousand seats, the Big Splash interactive fountain with its fine jets, and a mile of walking paths under more than two hundred trees, with a boardwalk that runs out to the Suwanee Creek Greenway. The parks and the greenway
Suwanee Creek Park and Sims Lake Park carry the everyday green space, and the county parks at George Pierce and Peachtree Ridge add the big fields and playscapes a short drive out. PlayTown Suwanee sits right at the Town Center for the little ones, with the splash fountain as the summer finish.
The event weekends
The arts festival lands at Town Center each spring, the farmers market runs Saturday mornings through the warm months, and the amphitheater fills with concerts and movie nights on the city calendar. Wine Festival weekend in November closes the year on the same lawn.
