Gwinnett's fall festival season runs hard from late September through late October: the county fair in Lawrenceville, a town festival most every weekend, and the seasonal runs at the corn maze and the lake on the Buford side. Here is the honest order of the season from the confirmed calendar, with the rule that dates move and hosts confirm.
Late September
- The Gwinnett County Fair at the county fairgrounds in Lawrenceville runs the last weeks of September with the midway and the exhibits.
- The Duluth Fall Festival and the Flowery Branch Fall Festival land on a late September Saturday, each on its downtown grounds.
October
- The Hoschton Fall Festival opens October on the Jackson side.
- The African American Culture and Arts Festival at Suwanee Town Center, the Taste of BBQ and Music Festival at Sugar Hill, and the Big Green Egg EGGtoberfest in Lawrenceville share an early October weekend.
- The Mule Camp Market comes to the Gainesville Square a week later, with arts and crafts booths around the courthouse.
- Sugar Rush Arts Festival lands in Sugar Hill mid-month, and the city-run Snellville Fall Festival and Loganville AutumnFest carry their own October Saturdays.
- The Braselton Antique and Artisan Festival closes the month out, with AuburnFest down Highway 8 the same weekend.
The seasonal runs
The Buford Corn Maze on Bennett Road opens the season and runs through mid-November with the maze, hayrides, and farm animals, and the Lanier Islands side of Buford runs fall family weekends at the lake into November. Stone Mountain's pumpkin festival sits just across the line in DeKalb and pulls the Snellville side over.
