The honest answer first: on a quiet weekend, Dacula has no festival of its own on the calendar, and the guide will not invent one to fill the slot. The dependable Dacula weekend is the county parks, the Dacula Road block, and the market runs, and it is a very good weekend as those things go.
The recurring anchors
The Dacula farmers market connection, run by Alegre Farm on Givens Road, runs online and at the farm gate as a market listed with the Georgia Department of Agriculture, and the established Lawrenceville farmers market on the historic square runs Saturday mornings through the warm months a short drive over. Market morning, then the park, then the block is the working order.
The evergreen standsbys
- None here should need a ticket: Little Mulberry Park for the waterfall walk and the trails, Maple Creek Park in the city for the playgrounds, the indoor play room on the Auburn Road corridor for the littlest ones, and the dinner tables at the Greek taverna and the hibachi room on the same roads.
When the calendar fills
The adjacent towns keep the event slate nearby when Dacula is quiet: Hoschton's fall festival in early October, the Braselton antique and artisan market, and the race week crowds up the road at Road Atlanta. The dated countywide list lives on the events page.
